On Wednesday, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs tweeted a statement regarding threats she has received towards her family and staff.
Currently, the election is in dispute in Arizona and tensions on both sides of the political aisle are high.
“The Republican Party of Arizona condemns in the strongest possible terms any and all threats of violence,” read a statement issued swiftly after Hobbs tweeted.
Gov. Doug Ducey strongly condemned those who would threaten violence. During a Wednesday afternoon press conference, the governor called threats directed towards Hobbs “unacceptable.”
