The Pima County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible murder suicide that took the lives of Hayford Peirce and Wanda Zhang Peirce.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on November 19, 2020, at approximately 11:55 p.m., deputies responded to a check welfare call in the 6000 block of North Pontatoc Road. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the 78-year-old Peirce, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The body of 51-year-old Zhang Peirce was found in the residence.
Mr. Peirce was transported to a local area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
