PHOENIX — On Wednesday, Governor Doug Ducey, during a press conference on the new COVID vaccine, called on Arizonans to get it “when it’s available to you.”
Ducey toured the vaccine distribution site at the Fairgrounds and was joined by Arizona Department of Health Services Director Dr. Cara Christ, who received a vaccine along with a number of first responders.
After the tour, the Governor also announced the state is distributing $15 million in additional funding to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) for health emergency needs. The funding will be used to help replenish the public health emergency fund.
