Two Men Arrested In December Murder In Tucson

Tucson Police have arrested two men in connection with the December 30, fatal shooting of Justin Gervon Chavis.

Tucson Police say detectives learned that Mr. Chavis, age 32, went to the shopping center in order to conduct a drug deal with two men.

Detectives developed information identifying 19-year-old Darrel Dequann Ingram as one of the men intending to meet with Chavis.

On December 31, 2020, officers located Darrel Ingram on Tucson’s East Side. Detectives were able to speak with Ingram and he was ultimately booked into Pima County Jail.

Detectives then identified 19-year-old Herald Phillip Lauterio as the second suspect.

Ingram and Lauterio were both charged with Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Armed Robbery. They are currently being held in Pima County Jail.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and are attempting to identify a third suspect. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
