Elderly Man Killed In Crash Into Cars Behind Road Painting Crew

An 83-year-old man, Harrison Willar, was killed on Monday after the vehicle he was driving collided with two vehicles on Sandario Road.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday at about 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a three vehicle collision on Sandario Road just south of Snyder Hill Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota pickup truck, driven by Mr. Willar, was traveling northbound on Sandario Riad when it failed to slow down for a line of vehicles driving behind vehicles painting the roadway lines.

The Toyota pickup ran into the back of a Dodge pickup, which then ran into a Volkswagen sedan.

Mr. Willar, was declared deceased at the scene.

No one else was seriously injured in this collision.
