Glendale Police Seek Public’s Help Finding Man Wanted For Murder Of Fiancé

Rivera-Jimenez is believed to have fled to Mexico

GLENDALE – Glendale Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Arnulfo Rivera-Jimenez in connection with the murder of his fiancé, Marissa Canedo-Gonzalez.

According to the Glendale Police Department, on January 21, 2021 just after 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unknown trouble call for service near 5600 N. 62nd Ave. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Ms. Canedo-Gonzalez inside the residence with multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local valley hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators learned that Ms. Canedo-Gonzalez, age 29, had been inside the residence when an argument ensued between her and the 31-year-old Rivera-Jimenez.

Witnesses told officers that Rivera-Jimenez stabbed her multiple times and then fled the residence.

Rivera-Jimenez was last seen in the area of 51st Ave and Thomas driving a 2000 white Chevy Silverado extended cab truck displaying AZ license plate APG2311. Rivera-Jimenez is described as approximately 5’8” tall and 200 pounds. He is believed to have fled to Mexico.
