Wanted Yavapai County Man Arrested In Montana

A Yavapai County man, Neil Allan McCarthy, wanted on a warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, has been taken into custody in Montana by deputies with the United States Marshals Service.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, McCarthy was arrested on January 21, 2021, in Wibaux, Montana.

McCarthy was also wanted on a Probation Violation warrant.

McCarthy was booked into the Custer County Jail in Montana and is awaiting extradition back to Yavapai County.

McCarthy is also facing several charges from an altercation he was involved in on December 28, 2020 in Yarnell. According to law enforcement, McCarthy assaulted an adult family member in the parking lot of a restaurant. During the altercation, McCarthy struck the victim in the face and hit the victim’s head against a car causing injury to the victim. McCarthy fled the scene.
