Senate Passes Bill To Rename, Clean Up Permanent Early Voting List

arizona senate

The Arizona Senate has passed a bill sponsored by Sen. Ugenti-Rita that will rename and clean up the permanent early voting list.

The bill renames the permanent early voting list (PEVL) to the early voting list (EVL).

The bill would prompt officials to remove a voter from the EVL if the voter fails to vote by early ballot in both the primary election and the general election for two consecutive primary and general elections for which there was a federal, statewide or legislative race on the ballot.

The bill requires counties to notify a voter prior to removing that voter from the EVL.
