Over 10,000 people have signed a petition asking Governor Doug Ducey to make masks optional for K-12 students. Supporters of the campaign say they are holding a rally at the Arizona Capitol on Monday afternoon to “get the attention of the Governor and get these mask off the kids!!!!”
I support unmasking our kids (and adults).
We need to breathe FRESH air. If you can support them on Monday as they urge Gov. Ducey to end the mask madness, please do. ? https://t.co/d1qYG4Q2Rz— Kari Lake (@KariLake) April 11, 2021
With the vast majority of K-12 teachers having already been vaccination for COVID-19, members of Arizona Stands United as well as many physicians believe there is no necessity for children to wear masks.
When asked whether kids need to wear masks while in school, Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D., Director of Jasser Center for Comprehensive Care stated, “I can’t see why they would. There is barely any data at all of infections of teachers of any kind in the parochial schools that stayed full time in person let alone if vaccinated. Kids are resilient but enough is enough, they need to get back to normal, yesterday.”
