False Report To Prescott Valley Police Leads to Drug Arrest

A woman, Holly Zinkl is in custody after making a false report to the Prescott Valley Police Department.

According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at about 6:30 PM, Prescott Valley Police responded to a report of a fight in the 7700 block of State Route 69.
There was no fight in progress when the officers arrived. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the reporting party was being watched by officers in the Kohl’s parking lot for suspicious activity. When the reporting party, 34-year-old Zinkl, realized she was being watched, she then called in the false report of a fight on the other side of town to try and distract officers.

The officer conducting surveillance stopped and questioned the suspect in her vehicle and discovered she had called in the false report. Methamphetamines and heroin paraphernalia were subsequently found in her possession. Holly Zinkl was booked into Yavapai County Detention Facility on felony charges of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, and False Reporting to Law Enforcement.
