One person is dead, and seven others are injured as a result of a shooting at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Phoenix.
Jaziah Shakor Causey, age 21, has been identified as the decedent.
The incident occurred, according to Phoenix Police, at the hotel near Third and Van Buren streets at approximately 12:30 a.m.
A fight reportedly broke out between a group of young adults.
Causey was found dead inside the hotel. The other victims, 6 men and 1 woman, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
