A Tombstone resident, James (Jim) Dixon, has been arrested as a result of a sex offense investigation.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, a victim on April 16, 2021 reported a sex offense. Sheriff’s detectives began working with the victim who claimed to have been sexually abused by the Tombstone resident.
Throughout the investigation, several other potential victims were identified and, as a result of working closely with the Cochise County Attorney’s Office, an arrest warrant was issued for Dixon.
On Tuesday July 27, 2021, Sheriff’s detectives and Tombstone Marshals deputies located and arrested the 59-year-old Dixon on the warrant. Dixon was transported and booked into the Cochise County Jail where he remains on multiple charges of Child Molestation, Continuous Sexual Abuse, and Sexual Conduct with a Minor among others.
