Last week, Congressman Andy Biggs introduced a bill that would prohibit businesses that received federal COVID-19 relief funds from mandating vaccination of their employees.

Co-sponsors of the bill include: Rep. Ralph Norman (SC-05), Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07), Rep. Alex Mooney (WV-02, Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01), Rep. Jody Hice (GA-10), Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01), Rep. Thomas Massie (KY-04), Rep. Greg Steube (FL-17), Rep. Brian Mast (FL-18), Rep. Jeff Duncan (SC-03), and Rep. Madison Cawthorn (NC-11).

“Employers should not be meddling in the personal, private health care decisions of their employees by mandating the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Biggs. “Many of these companies turned to the federal government for support during 2020’s tough economic times, and that support was provided by American taxpayers. Now companies are bullying those same tax-paying employees into taking a vaccine that they may not be comfortable with. My bill will stop those companies from enforcing those mandates by requiring them to return the relief funds they received if they don’t allow their employees to make their own personal health care decisions.”

Last week, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) questioned the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s move to issue an “approval decision” regarding the Pfizer-BioNTech product, to be marketed as Comirnaty, for individuals 16 years of age and older. The group noted that “the approval was granted in record time, more than a year earlier than studies are scheduled for completion, and without the normally required advisory committee or public comment period.”

According to AAPS, “An unprecedented number of lethal or serious adverse effects have been reported to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS).”
