PRESCOTT, AZ – On Friday evening, a wanted man, James “Bobo” Patton was arrested after Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched the area in Cordes Lakes locally known as “the outback” near the Agua Fria River.

Patton was wanted on a warrant for the attempted homicide of Kenneth Wallace, 45, who he allegedly stabbed after an argument about money in the early morning of Monday August 23. He fled the scene and has been on the run since the incident.

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) investigators established that Patton frequented the area near the Agua Fria River and sent two deputies on foot and the Rescue One helicopter to the area to search for Patton. During the search, Patton surrendered to another deputy who was sitting in a marked car near the area, saying he knew the helicopter would find him.

Patton was booked at the YCSO jail and is confined on $50,000 bail.
