The Love sisters have earned a reputation for using inflammatory language and eliciting passionate responses from followers on social media, but few people could have expected the latest response to their rhetoric surrounding a Texas abortion law.

Chandler School Board member Lindsay Love and her sister Chris Love, chair of the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona (PPAZ) board, are vocal abortion supporters. So their objection to the Supreme Court’s decision to let the Texas pro-life bill stand was par for the course. It was Chris’ call on Twitter for her supporters to “be ready to break some sh*t,” that sent the twittersphere into a tailspin.

Arizona State Rep. Daniel Hernandez, candidate for Congressional District 2, and Arizona State Rep. Diego Rodriguez, a candidate for the Arizona Attorney general’s Office, both “liked” and retweeted the call for violence. Arizona State Rep. Athena Salman also approved of the tweet.

Arizona State Sen. Kelly Townsend responded with her own tweet:

“So Chris Love wants to throw a tantrum and break things because she cannot kill babies after 6 weeks in TX, and @Diego4Justice retweeted it. Today’s modern Democrat is all about violating youth. Not your mama’s Democrat party…”
