The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of Detention Officer Anthony “Tony” Nicoletti. Officer Nicoletti passed away early Monday morning of complications related to contracting COVID-19.

Officer Nicoletti was a six year veteran of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, with his most recent assignment as a Fugitive and Warrants Officer at our Adult Detention Facility. He assisted with out of state extraditions, in-state prisoner movement, and day to day court activities assuring that inmates were safely transported to the various Mohave County courthouses.

“Tony was a long time Kingman resident who was loved and respected by all who knew him and worked with him,” the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “We ask that the community keep his wife, children, and entire family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. To the Nicoletti family, please know that you will always be a part of our law enforcement family.”
