A previously deported violent felon, Fredy Zuniga-Caceres, was sentenced to to 15 months in prison on October 7, 2021. Zuniga-Caceres was convicted of Title 8, U.S.C. §1326(a), Reentry of Removed Alien.
Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested Zuniga-Caceres, on June 1, 2021 after he illegally entered the U.S. with a small group of Honduran nationals. Record checks revealed Zuniga-Caceres, is a violent felon, convicted of felonious assault/malicious wounding/maiming in 2009 in Virginia.
He was previously sentenced to 15 years in prison and subsequently deported.
