On Thursday, Christian Solorio was sworn in to the Arizona House to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Raquel Terán. Terán was appointed to fill the Arizona Senate vacancy in Legislative District 30 after former Sen. Tony Navarrete was indicted for child sex abuse.

Solorio, who grew up in Phoenix, is an architect. He was appointed upon the recommendation of Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Gallardo.
Legislative District 30 covers west-central Phoenix from downtown up to Dunlap Avenue and west to 67th Avenue.
