On Wednesday, Arizona State Rep. Randy Friese submitted his resignation letter to the Arizona House of Representatives. Friese advised that his last day will be Nov. 15.
He announced and then ended a run for Congress earlier this year.
Friese said he plans to dedicate his time on his lucrative medical career.
Friese said he was confident that the Democratic Party will appoint an “enthusiastic and competent” replacement.
“I am extremely proud of my service to my community and the state during the years I represented Legislative District,” he wrote in a letter to Speaker of the House Rusty Bowers.
