Somerton Couple Arrested, Drugs And Guns Seized

Two people are in custody, Erika Quinonez, and David Hernandez, both of Somerton, after getting caught with drugs and guns.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at approximately 6:33 a.m., a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of W. Calle De Paz in Somerton. The search of the residence led to the discovery of approximately 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $40,904.80, approximately 1.58 pounds of counterfeit M30 pills containing Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $57,472.00, items of paraphernalia indicative of street sales, and multiple firearms.

Quinonez, age 35, and Hernandez, age 38, were booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Evidence Tampering, Misconduct involving Weapons, Use of Electronic Communication Device in a Drug Transaction, and Endangerment involving Juveniles.
