The Mojave County Sheriff’s Office says a man, Brandon Lewis St. Ours, hit and killed his girlfriend with his car after an argument on Saturday night.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, at 7:40 p.m., Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and medical personnel with Northern Arizona Fire Department and River Medical Ambulance responded to a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the area of E. College Ave. and N. Casey Ln in Kingman. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian had fled the scene after the collision and a female victim was found on scene. The female had no pulse and was not breathing and life saving measures were attempted on scene and continued during transport to the hospital.

Upon arrival to the hospital, the woman was declared deceased.

Detectives found that the female had gotten into a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, identified as the 37-year-old St. Ours, at a residence in the 4700 block of N. Casey Ln. The two were asked to leave the residence by a third party at the residence, based on the two arguing. Both  left the residence, however the woman refused to get in Brandon’s vehicle and walked from the scene. Brandon drove around looking for the woman, and ultimately struck her with the vehicle just a short distance from the residence. Brandon then fled the scene and parked his vehicle at another location in an obvious attempt to conceal it.

Brandon was located and questioned in reference to the incident. At the conclusion of the investigation, Brandon was transported to the Mohave County Jail where he was booked for Manslaughter by Domestic Violence and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident. Brandon’s vehicle was located and towed for processing.

The woman’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. This investigation is ongoing.
