Arrest Made Red Light Runner That Struck Baby In Stroller

An arrest has been made in the hit-and run that sent a 2-year-old boy to the hospital.

Davorah Jerrice Ross admitted to police that she was the driver who ran a red light, hitting the baby boy in his stroller.

Phoenix Police responded to a traffic collision at 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue just after 8:20 p.m., on February 20. When the officers arrived, they learned the 2-year-old was being pushed in a stroller by a family member in the crosswalk, when a vehicle driven by Ross ran a red light and struck the child.

After the collision, Ross fled the scene in the vehicle.

The child is in a local hospital in stable condition
