Phoenix Police are investigating a collision that took the life of a woman, Tiffini Cunningham, in the area of 40th Street and Cactus Road.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to the area and learned that an SUV with 5 occupants, was traveling eastbound on Cactus when it struck a sedan that was attempting to turn southbound onto 40th Street. The force of this collision caused the SUV to have an additional impact against a signal light pole. All 5 occupants of the SUV were transported to a local hospital where Ms. Cunningham, died from her injuries.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
