Phoenix Police Looking For Hit-And Run Suspect, 66-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed

Phoenix police are investigating a hit and run collision that took the life of 66-year-old Jesus Quintanilla.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on April 2nd, around 11:15 p.m., officers were called to the area of 32nd Street and Thomas Road about a collision with injuries. Officers on scene located Mr. Quintanilla, that had been struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.

The investigation at the scene found that Mr. Quintanilla had been riding his bicycle westbound in the crosswalk at 32nd Street and Thomas when he was struck by an unknown white sedan. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene and remains outstanding.

Mr. Quintanilla was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.

At this time the investigation remains active and ongoing.
