Phoenix Police Arrest 62-Year-Old Suspected Of Hitting, Killing Man With Car

Phoenix Police have arrested Paul Scott in connection with a homicide that left an adult male dead Saturday night near 12th Street and Northern Avenue.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to a parking lot in the area of 12th Street and Northern just before midnight about a man who had been struck by a vehicle. Officers learned the 62-year-old Scott was involved in an altercation with the victim about an hour before striking and running him over with his car. The victim did not survive his injuries. Scott remained nearby, and asked someone to call police.

Scott was booked into jail for one count of First-Degree Murder.
