Two people remain in critical condition after a shooting Tuesday afternoon near 40th Street and Hearn Road.
According to the Phoenix Police department, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 officers responded to the area of 40th Street and Hearn Road after receiving a call of a shooting. A man and woman were found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Detectives believe that the two victims showed up at the home of Gregory Alt and his girlfriend. During the interaction, the two visitors were shot. Alt claims he shot the two in self-defense. Alt and his girlfriend were both detained and questioned.
Alt was booked into jail on a number of charges including weapons violations and drug offenses.
The case remains under investigation.
