Phoenix Police Investigating Fatal Collision Involving Bicyclist

Phoenix Detectives are investigating a fatal collision that left bicyclist, Troy Rosales, dead after being struck by a vehicle in the area of 61st Avenue and Buckeye Road.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on the morning of September 6, 2022 around 5:00 a.m. Phoenix police were called to the area of 6100 West Buckeye Road about a serious collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle. Officers on scene located Mr. Rosales, laying in the road. Phoenix Fire Department responded and had pronounced Mr. Rosales deceased on scene.

The adult female driver of the vehicle involved stayed on scene and was evaluated for impairment. No impairment is suspected.

It was later learned Mr. Rosales was riding his bicycle eastbound on the southside of Buckeye Road when the driver of the vehicle traveling the same direction struck him. The investigation is ongoing.
