On Saturday, November 5th, First Lady Jill Biden will be visiting Phoenix to give Sen. Mark Kelly’s campaign a much needed boost, including what appears to be a financial boost.
Biden will attend and deliver remarks at a political event hosted by the Arizona Education Association (AEA) along with the National Education Association. The groups are both major power players in the Democratic Party, even though the AEA represents far fewer than half of Arizona’s classroom teachers.
At noon, Biden will be attending an unspecified “political event” with Kelly and at 1:15 pm, Biden is scheduled to deliver remarks at a “political finance event.” Little coverage of the event is expected as the Kelly campaign is only allowing select print reporters into the event. Given the amount of news coverage being dedicated to covering rising costs and a sinking economy, restricting coverage may be a wise political choice for Kelly and Biden.
