Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a murder suspect, 39-year-old Fabian Archuleta, in Seligman on a warrant out of Rio Arriba County in New Mexico.
On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Espanola Police Department that Archuleta, wanted for First Degree Murder, was in the Seligman area. When deputies arrived and made contact with Archuleta, he initially refused to cooperate and barricaded himself in the vehicle he was sitting in.
Deputies were eventually able to talk him out of the vehicle and take him into custody without incident.
Archuleta is in custody at the Yavapai County Jail and awaiting extradition back to New Mexico.
