Failed Republican Candidate Daniel McCarthy Launches Racist Attack On Treasurer Kimberly Yee

Daniel McCarthy

A failed politician and agitator, Daniel McCarthy, who achieved some business success through his ex-wife’s cosmetic company which sells products that were mainly manufactured in China, has implied that Republican Kimberly Yee won her second term last week with the help of the Chinese government.

McCarthy made the bizarre statement in a tweet about Yee who, credited with running on her record and not rancor, was the largest vote getter in the 2022 General Election cycle. That success, according to McCarthy, is “How do you know China controls our elections.”

“YEE got more votes than anyone? continued McCarty. “Who knew the treasurer race was so exciting. Nothing to see here, move along.”

Arizona State Rep. Quang Nguyen, a staunch anti-communist refugee from Viet Nam, and one of Arizona’s strongest 2nd Amendment advocates, responded: “I’m just guessing that Asian Americans just can’t legitimately win an election without disgusting comments like 👇.”

When asked what he made of McCarthy’s racist attack, Nguyen told the Arizona Daily Independent, “I prefer to celebrate American exceptionalism rather than concentrating on skin color or the spelling of someone’s name. We are better than that.”

There are no apparent ties between Yee, who was born and raised in Phoenix and graduated from Greenway High School, and China, other than her ancestry.

Yee was a featured speaker at the 2016 Republican Convention in which former President Donald Trump was nominated.

McCarthy, who has targeted numerous Republicans including Donald Trump in the past, is working to dismantle the Republican Party through disruption and divisive rhetoric and enlist former GOP members to his Patriot Party. His efforts to form an official party failed after the effort came up short of the required number of petition signatures, but McCarthy seems determined to destroy the same party whose nomination he sought when he ran against Martha McSally for the US Senate. McSally crushed McCarthy in the GOP primary.

Echoing McCarthy, newly elected Arizona State Rep. Liz Harris also recently implied that Yee’s margin of victory was impossible without foul play. As reported by ADI, Harris has sworn to not vote on any bills once she is sworn into the legislature, unless and until the 2022 general election is redone.
