Tucson Police Identify Suspect That Shot At Officers

Tucson Police Department detectives have identified Michael Anthony Caylor as the suspect who shot at officers early Tuesday morning.

Public information Officer Frank Magos says Caylor should be considered armed and dangerous. If members of the public Caylor they should not approach him and should call 911 immediately.

According to the Tucson Police Department, early Tuesday morning, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white SUV near N. 14th Avenue and W. Ventura Street. The vehicle fled and led officers to a vacant lot. Caylor, identified as the driver, fled on foot and fired rounds at uniformed officers.

No officers or community members were injured.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit have obtained a warrant for the 39-year-old Caylor’s arrest for 3 counts of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer.

Caylor is described as 5’11/190lbs., with green eyes.
