Phoenix Police detectives have arrested 37-year-old Bobby Montano for the murder and kidnapping of his girlfriend, Marie Tachell. Detectives continue to investigate what led up to a Friday night argument that resulted in the victim’s death.
Phoenix officers responded to a stabbing call at about 10:06 p.m. on December 30, 2022. Montano was detained after officers found the Marie, who suffered from an apparent stab wound. Officers provided lifesaving measures until Phoenix Fire Department arrived to take over. Marie was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives arrested Bobby Montano on first-degree murder and kidnapping charges. He was later booked into Maricopa County Jail.
