Phoenix Police Investigating Theft Of Make-A-Wish Foundation Statue Stolen From Phoenix Headquarters

Phoenix police detectives are investigating a theft of a statue at the offices of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the area of 17th Street and Highland Avenue.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 4, 2023 just before 1:00 p.m., officers responded to a theft investigation. Officers contacted employees of the Make-A-Wish Foundation regarding a statue that had been stolen from the front of their building.

Preliminary information indicates that on January 3, 2023 around 10:15 p.m. a white sedan parked near the location of the statue. Two people got out of the sedan and forcibly removed the statue from its fixed position. The statue was then placed in the vehicle and the suspects left the area.

The investigation remains active as detectives work to identify the suspects responsible for the theft. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is strongly encouraged to contact the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness (480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers).
