Phoenix Detectives Look For Vehicle That Fled Fatal Collision

Phoenix police detectives are looking for a black colored full-size SUV that struck and killed a pedestrian, Andrew Pyles, in the area of 3200 West Glendale Avenue.

Phoenix police responded to a vehicle collision involving the 58-year-old Mr. Pyles in early Saturday morning on January 14, 2023. When officers arrived, they found Mr. Pyles unresponsive on the ground. Officer provided life saving measures until Phoenix Fire personal responded and later pronounced him deceased.

Investigators arrived on scene and learned that a black colored SUV, believed to be a Chevrolet Tahoe, was driving westbound on Glendale Avenue. Witness’ reported seeing the suspect vehicle strike Mr. Pyles who was walking north crossing Glendale Avenue before driving away from the scene.

Detectives are actively following up on all leads to help identify the suspect responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department, or Silent Witness (480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish Speakers).
