Phoenix Overnight Stabbing Leaves Man In Critical Condition

Phoenix police detectives are investigating a stabbing that happened Saturday night in the area of 36th Street and Thomas Road which left one man in critical condition.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on February 4, 2023, just before 12:30 a.m. officers responded to a stabbing near 2600 North 36th Street. When officers arrived, they found a man with stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he continues to receive treatment for life threatening injuries. The suspect in the case, identified as Reginald Malone, was arrested as he ran from the location.

Homicide detectives believe that a fight occurred between the victim and Malone. During this fight, Malone stabbed the victim and then took off from the location. He was located nearby and arrested. Malone admitted to his involvement in the incident.

Malone was booked into jail on charges of aggravated assault.
