Phoenix Detectives Investigating Death Of Pedestrian Hit By 2 Vehicles

Phoenix police detectives are investigating the death of a pedestrian, Isaiah Montez Reid, who was struck by two vehicles near 7th Street and Polk Street.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 4:30 a.m. on February 7, officers responded to a call of a collision near 7th Street and Polk Street. Isaiah Montez Reid, age 27, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.

Early information indicated two vehicles struck Isaiah. One vehicle remained on scene and one drove away.

Detectives believe Isaiah was attempting to cross 7th Street mid-block when he was struck by a vehicle going southbound. The vehicle remained on scene. A second vehicle going southbound on 7th Street ran over Isaiah. The vehicle continued to drive away.

Impairment is not believed to be factor with the driver of the vehicle who remained on scene. The second vehicle remains outstanding.
