A Chino Valley man, Mackenzie R. Stephenson, has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, on January 26th, a search warrant was executed on a home on Reed Road in Chino Valley looking for an occupant that was believed to be in possession of child pornography. After an initial investigation by both the Prescott Valley Police Department and the YCSO Criminal Investigations Bureau, it was discovered that a computer at the location was utilizing the internet to view and download pornographic images involving children.

After questioning and evidence collection, the 35-year-old Stephenson was been arrested and charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The other occupants of the home were cleared of any suspicion related to this case.

“There is no way to hide this type of sordid behavior from law enforcement, so we want perpetrators out there to know you will be found and prosecuted to greatest extent of the law if convicted” said Sheriff David Rhodes. “There is nothing harmless about ‘just looking’ at images and video of exploited children.”
