On Thursday, February 2, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery at the Chevron located at 4120 W. 8th Street.
Upon arrival, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) deputies learned that a male subject entered the store, approached the two store clerks and demanded money while motioning towards his waistband. The clerks cooperated with the demand and were uninjured. The suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.
After further investigation and obtaining surveillance footage, deputies were able to identify the vehicle and suspect.
On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, the suspect, identified as Justin Decker, 34, of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for Robbery.
