Goodyear Police officers have arrested the driver of a pickup truck that collided with a group of adult cyclists on the Cotton Lane Bridge.
According to the Goodyear Police Department, 26-year-old Pedro Quintana-Lujan was booked on several charges including two counts of manslaughter.
Two of the bicyclists hit by Quintana-Lujan have died, and one remains in life-threatening condition. Several others were seriously injured.
One of the deceased is a local resident of Goodyear, and one was visiting from out of state.
Officers were called to the scene of a “very serious crash” shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday in Goodyear.
