On Friday, just after 10 a.m., the Buckeye Police Department received a call of a shooting on Wycliff Ct near Verrado Way and Eastview Way. The caller reported that his wife had shot him.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man in his 30s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he is now stable and expected to survive.
The wife, a woman in her 30s, remained on scene. Two juveniles were in the home when the shooting occurred.
Officers believe the incident began as an argument between husband and wife that escalated, and the wife retrieved a handgun and fired at the husband. No arrests have been made at this time. There are no outstanding suspects.
