A famous political activist and University of Arizona faculty member, Noam Chomsky, has been identified as a friend of Jeffrey Epstein.

Chomsky, along with the current head of the Central Intelligence Agency, a college president, and a former Obama White House counsel are all listed in the financier’s private date book, according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal.

Epstein was accused of running a “vast network” of underage girls for sex with the rich, famous, and powerful. After being arrested in connection with child sex trafficking, Epstein hung himself in a New York jail cell in 2019.

According to the New York Post, documents show that “Chomsky and Epstein had a number of scheduled gatherings, including a planned dinner with Chomsky, his wife, Woody Allen and Allen’s wife, Soon-Yi Previn.”

Chomsky, who once considered a thought leader on the left but has since earned the “neoliberal” label for his support of the Ukraine war and draconian measures during the height of the COVID-19 hysteria, had several meetings scheduled with Epstein between 2015 and 2016.

When contacted by the Wall Street Journal about the meetings with Epstein, Chomsky responded in an email, “First response is that it is none of your business. Or anyone’s. Second is that I knew him and we met occasionally.”

Comedian and progressive activist Jimmy Dore tweeted about the once civil-liberty supporting free-speech absolutist Chomsky:

“I was gob-smacked when Chomsky advocated separating the unvaxxed from society where getting food was “their problem.” That was after he called Medicare 4 All “candy.” Now he talks like this about hanging with Epstein? Holy shit.”

Chomsky is a “laureate professor in the Department of Linguistics in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He is also the Agnese Nelms Haury Chair in the Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environment and Social Justice,” according to the university’s website.
