On Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis met with top Arizona officials including House Speaker Ben Toma and State Senator David Gowan, as well as sheriffs from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, on a trip to the southern border.

DeSantis hosted a roundtable in Sierra Vista, with Attorney General Ashley Moody, and numerous Sheriffs from Arizona, Florida, Idaho, and Texas, including Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

On his visit, DeSantis highlighted Florida’s successful actions to combat illegal immigration within its own borders and territorial waters, as well as work the state is helping to accomplish along the nation’s southern border in states like Texas. Florida’s blueprint for border security includes new methods for combating human smuggling and drug trafficking across state lines and the relocation of illegal aliens who wish to be transported to so-called sanctuary states and cities.

Florida’s law enforcement agencies are offering trainings for other states that want to follow Florida’s lead on protecting citizens from the impacts of Biden’s Border Crisis.
