Dismembered human remains have been found inside a bag near 39th Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 28, 2023, just before 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of an unknown trouble where the caller could smell a foul odor coming from a bag near 39th Avenue and McDowell Road. When officers arrived, they found a bag in an alley that contained possible human remains.
Detectives have confirmed that the remains were indeed human.
Officers were called the day prior for a similar call but did not find anything suspicious. The suspect(s) remains outstanding.
