Teens Arrested For Death Of Yuma Woman Hit By Stray Bullet

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has identified two suspects related to death of a woman who was hit by a stray bullet. Both 18-year-old suspects, Jose Flores and Mia Dominguez,
were arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on Monday, July 3.

On Sunday, July 2, 2023, at approximately 12:16 a.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 2800 Block of W. 1st Street.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound and was unresponsive. Deputies performed initial life-saving measures until Rural Metro Fire Department arrived and continued to render medical aid. However, the victim, Christian Galindo, 31, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Flores was booked for 2nd Degree Murder and Dominguez was booked for 2nd Degree Murder, False Reporting to Law Enforcement, Hindering Prosecution, and Evidence Tampering.

Both Flores and Dominguez are from Yuma.
