Phoenix Police Investigating Death Of Pedestrian

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a collision that took the life of a pedestrian, identified as Parker Palmer.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on September 14, 2023, at about 2:50 a.m., officers responded to 24th Avenue and Peoria Avenue regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located the 28-year-old Palmer. Palmer did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The vehicle involved in the collision remained on scene.

Detectives believe Palmer was crossing northbound at an uncontrolled intersection when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Peoria Avenue. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
