Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that occurred last night around 11 pm near 31st Street and Bell Road that left one dead.
Last night on September 17, 2023, Phoenix police responded to an apartment complex near 31st Street and Bell Road for a radio call of a shooting. Officers arrived and found Victor Meraz Montes, age 26, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid until he was taken by Phoenix fire to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information can call Phoenix police or Silent Witness if they wish to remain anonymous.
