When officers arrived, they located and adult male, identified as 36-year-old Dustin Peck with minor injuries. Officers also located an adult female, identified as 77-year-old Maxine Carstedt with serious injuries. Carstedt did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The subsequent investigation revealed that alcohol was a factor in the collision and Peck was arrested and ultimately charged with manslaughter and DUI.
