Phoenix police detectives are investigating a collision involving a stolen vehicle that left the driver of a stolen vehicle in critical condition.
On Saturday morning just before 7:30, officers responded to a call of a collision involving a car and SUV near 12th Street and Glendale Avenue. The driver of the car was identified as an adult man who was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
Detectives learned the involved car was recently stolen from a nearby neighborhood. The stolen car was going east on Glendale Avenue and failed to stop for a red light at 12th Street. The car collided into an SUV that was going south on 12th Street.
The investigation is ongoing.
