On Thursday, Scottdale police officers responded to Mountainside Middle School in response to a report of a loaded gun found in a classroom.
According to the Scottsdale Police Department, the incident began when a student at Mountainside middle school told a staff member that there was what appeared to be a gun on the floor in a classroom. The school resource officer was alerted and confirmed the gun’s presence.
The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution. No one was injured.
