Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a deadly crash involving three vehicles late Friday night in North Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to investigate a collision at 45th Street and Greenway Road just before midnight on January 26, 2024. When officers got to the scene, they found 26-year-old Jaime Trevino suffering from serious injuries related to the collision. Phoenix Fire responded and provided medical aid, however Trevino was not able to overcome his injuries and died on scene.
Detectives believe that Trevino was driving west on Greenway Road when he veered into oncoming traffic and struck an SUV operated by a woman going east. The SUV then collided with a third car as it came to a stop. All occupants from the third car ran from the scene prior to police arrival.
The woman driving the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and showed no signs of intoxication.
